Educ 560

We are living in developing era; So Educ560 was an interesting course that makes you aware about the technology around you. The technology enters the schools so as teachers we should be ready for this change.

First we took the Google apps that were found in the Gmail; in these apps you have the drive. You can use drive to save all your projects their without worrying if something happen to your laptop, where it has a big space storage we can also use it to store files, documents and also pictures, we learned that we can send all files we want even if its big files and share it with our classmates and our instructor also sharing pictures or videos. It is used to access documents and it's free.

 

 

 
Second thing we learned about is the Google forms, it also found in the Gmail, where these forms help the teaching and learning process. It uses in the tasks that can be done in the classroom such as the assignments, taking feedback from the students,  it also used to design quizzes, where we used it in our projects and tried it in the class. In addition to that Google forms build surveys and you can share it with other people. So Google docs and forms help teachers in facilitating their job and make students do their quizzes online.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then we took the Google slide,it's same as the PowerPoint  characteristics but its advantage that if we are working in a group we can share our work with the other teammates using Google drive, where all the members can see what others did in the time the presentation is working on.

 

                                                          

 

 

 

 

Rubistar is a tool that teachers used to help them make a rubric, it provides generic rubrics that can be simply printed and used for many projects, and also teachers can change anything they want in the rubric.



Then we was introduced to nice app, which is the Blogger where you can posts many topics you are interested in, and people who follow you see these posts and can make comments, you can control the comments even publish it or not.

 

 

 

 

 Web Quest is an interesting thing that we learned about, it is used for the projects and the team works where anyone can create it, students work in team learn to cooperate because  they not only access the internet for information, but they also apply the information in a new way. It helps students to use their higher thinking skills for deeper understanding where they become more responsible about their roles.

Based on the web quest we learned about the Padlet it is an easy way to make students collaborate online and share their ideas, images and documents, it's beneficial for both teachers and students. Padlet also may be used in the projects. I used it in my project as a way to make students ask about some questions.

Microsoft Publisher is graphic design  application that make page layout and design, it can be used for logos, business cards,brochures, address labels, and calendar for small businesses.

New thing was presented to me which is active inspire. Active inspire helps teacher make their lessons and activities more interesting for the students and make them pay attention to the lesson. This is the most software liked by the students because it makes the lessons more dynamic, has many activities that motivate the students to collaborate more in the class.

 

 

 

 

 

There is a simple and interesting thing about presentations which is Pucha Kutcha, it is type of presentation all what care about is the time of each slide.


The new thing that we learned about is Quizlet, which is application that allows students to learn information using learning tools and games. Also we can create our own and share study sets with classmates or your students.

 

URL Shortener is a simple tool used to help you in minimizing the long URL into short one.

The last thing that we did during this course is the VCT, this is the biggest project that we should use everything we took in this course and introduce it in the VCT. This course is the most interesting course we will take where it make us ready for any technological change in schools, it make us professional teachers.
